The Opportunity
Like most major organizations, Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America (MRDA) maintained an intranet filled with useful corporate information. Also like most major organizations, the MRDA was not being utilized nearly enough to due usability and design challenges. The mission was well understood: improve the usability, improve the usage rates, and improve productivity.

The Solution
MRDA contracted with Stone to complete the following efforts: reorganize the architecture of the Intranet information, create an interface design that would capture the MRDA brand and encourage increased usage, and build intranet templates that could be incorporated by MRDA personnel to bring the vision to life.

The Results
The newly developed intranet templates were implemented by MRDA personnel. While Stone was not provided with any specific usage information, their Manager of IT did share that, "Everyone here likes the MRDA Intranet " and that the CIO very much liked the end result and was "shocked" by the reasonableness of the investment level.
