As co-founder of Stone IG, Joel head's up
creative and usability initiatives. With over 14 years of interactive and design experience, his efforts have captured some of the industry’s most coveted awards, including The One Show Interactive, WebAwards, and local and regional Omnis. He's created and overseen interactive work for Sprint, John Deere, Hostess, Applebees, Best Buy, Ford Motor Company, Volkswagen, General Motors, Mitsubishi Motors and Dow Corning among others.
Joel received his Master of Fine Arts in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Michigan, focusing on interactive design, 3D animation, and illustration. He's since developed and taught the first web design course within the same graduate program.
Along with years of experience in art direction and web design, Joel's illustration work has been published in gallery exhibitions, children’s books, medical and scientific journals, surgical texts, CD-ROMS, kiosks and encyclopedias worldwide.
A founding partner of Stone IG, Mark is responsible for
corporate web strategy. He works closely with clients and the Stone team to research, plan, and implement web strategies that make a true impact. Having worked with a wide variety of companies over the last decade - from the Fortune 5 to the University spin-off - Mark has the ability to interconnect business models with opportunity, helping deliver value for our clients that most other agencies cannot approach.
Mark received his MBA in Strategy and Marketing from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell. Before helping launch Stone, Mark was a key member of a leading ICG-backed online marketplace followed by a role of strategy engagement lead at a Metro Detroit consulting firm.
